VICTORIA'S SECRET /THE SECRET IS IN THE LAYERS ... OF MAKE UP!

If you wonder what it takes to be an Angel, a Victoria's Secret Angel that is, the secret have been revealed and it involves 5 hours and 20 layers of booty make up !!!! Even tho it seems a lot I am sure that Isabel Goulart [above] would look good even without make up!

"It's all about creating the illusion of this amazing body on the runway. People don't realize that there are about 20 layers of makeup on my butt alone." revealed one Angel to the NY Daily News.



In addition to body makeup, which takes well over an hour to apply, the Angels prep in hair and makeup for three to five hours before hitting the runway, with an average of five people - hair stylists, makeup artists and manicurists, working on each of the 38 models.



On top of that you add a $3 Million bra presented by the 'hottissime' Marisa Miller [above] Obviously the doyenne of the Angels, Heidi Klum, did not want to spend 5 hours on the make up chair and has opted for the long dress ... smart!

THE GAY SCENE 5 /by WGAW and GAY & LESBIAN WRITERS COMMITTEE

2 weeks ago we had a pleasure to be invited to THE GAY SCENE 5, organized by WGAW and Gay & Lesbian Writers Committee, to enjoy the reading of the screen plays written by some of the most talented Los Angeles script writers. We have seen gay scenes from eleven unproduced television pilots, stage plays, short films and features written by WGA members. We thank Gary Goldstein and David A. Lee and Daniel Vaillancourt for organizing this amazing event.



Here is the list of scenes and participants. NICK WAUTERS "Ryan's life", STEPHEN WITKIN "Off Ramp to Babylon", DAVID DEAN BOTTRELL & PAUL JENE "everybody's Gay", VICTOR BUMBALO"Two Boys", GARY GOLDSTEIN "Just Men", SCOTT SANDOE "Counting Matthew", KELLY ROUSE "Second Coming Of The Blues", RONALD ZATE "But Not For Me", DONALD MARTIN "A Journey to Moriah", SPIRO SKENTZOS "Three Mile Family", DAVID A. LEE & DANIEL VAILLANCOURT "True Blue".

What sets this event apart is that you rarely get so much talent gather together around a single subject and do the amazing reading routine (and really performing). Because of the success we have heard that other WGA committees has explored the concept with a great success.



And thanks for all the actors that has taken part in this exercise. It was amazing to see them go from one role to another and observe the complete transformation (without makeup costumes and stage scenography): Annie Quinn, Blake Boyd, Brett Chukerman, Jeffrey Christopher Todd, Zibby Allen, Patrick Hancock, David Heymann, Yuval David, Stephanie Courtney, Robert Catrini, Caroline Aaron, Julia Nickson-Soul (in order of appearance).

IRON MAN 2 GETS A NEW POSTER

A new poster of Iron Man 2 featuring the sexy Robert Downey Jr. makes his debut at Empire Online.

I just drove back from the airport and snapped a picture of the famous Randy's Donuts where a scene for Iron Man 2 was filmed during the summer.

LOS ANGELES /GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY

In about an hour, I am going to drive our friend Vincent to the airport so he can catch his flight back to Paris. But before that he wanted to enjoy some more sun before the cold and the rain so went to have lunch at the Griffith Observatory.











We did met a coyote who was looking for his lunch ...



Gladly we were not to his taste!





It was really nice to have Vincent with us for those past two weeks, we did get to do a lot of things with him, Las Vegas de jour and de nuit ;-) saw a couple of amazing shows had fun along the way ... twice, did some pre-christmas shopping on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, went to L.A. plage, rediscovered historic downtown Los Angeles, and we also celebrated Alek's birthday in Malibu and in a couple of other places in Los Angeles.

It almost was like a holiday for us only we stayed home ;-)

TRUE BLOOD /MEET THE NEW PUMPED BLOOD

Theo Alexander has been cast in the role of Talbot an "intensely beautiful" vampire, the boyfriend of Russell Edgington the vampire king of Mississippi [source]





Grant Bowler who recently passed away in Ugly Betty is also joining the cast of True Blood.





And you may remember Marshall Allman aka LJ Burrows from Prison Break will appear as Sam Merlotte’s long-lost younger brother, Tommy Mickens [source]

True Blood started production on its third season yesterday in Los Angeles!
