FIFTH ANNUAL JEFFREY FASHION CARES

Building upon the success Fashion Cares Atlanta, Jeffrey New York introduced its own event, Fashion Cares NYC in 2004. Jeffrey Fashion Cares celebrated its fifth anniversary with a charity reception and fashion show which took place on Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at ESPACE. The highly-anticipated event raised awareness and funds for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender community. This year’s event raised over $500,000.

This year also marked the introduction of the Lawrence King – Jeffrey Fashion Cares Scholarship. In honor of the tragic death of Lawrence “Larry” King, a 15 year old who was murdered by a classmate because of his sexual orientation, Jeffrey Fashion Cares has partnered with The Point Foundation to create this special scholarship. The mission of the Point Foundation is to provide financial support, mentoring and hope to meritorious student who are marginalized because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
