How did Lucas Entertainment came to life ?

I always wanted to have my own company and be my own boss, as I am really bad when working for other people. As you know, I'm very stubborn and opinionated, so who would put up with me ;-) Lucas Entertainment was opened in 1998 in New York City.

Were you always aware of your sexuality ?

Of course. Whoever tells you differently is either a liar, crazy, or both.

When did you come out and how was that experience for you ?

I was very lucky to have a very loving and supportive family. Also, I think it helped that both my parents and grandparents were Russian intelligentsia, and so it's not a typical experience, but I never had any problems with my family. I had some problems with myself, as there was simply no information about homosexuality, except criminal law, which punished it with several years in jail. I was always looking towards the West, since the Soviets were saying that the West is rotting because of the acceptance of it. You can imagine for me that it was a great compliment for the West.

What are the new projects you are working on ?

I produce two movies a month, so there is always a new project. I also just finished Michael Lucas.com, which is a new website all about me. You can see my live shows, quotes from other people in my films, my blog, and my press, both positive and negative. Now it's all together in one convenient site. I am also writing a new autobiography, because the one that's out there is very praiseful, but really badly written and very boring. I hope to release it at the end of 2008. I'm also working on a documentary about my life. Lucas Entertainment.com will be relaunched in the next few months. So a lot of things are going on.

According to you does the size meter ?

Size matters when it comes to making porn. The bigger dick you have, the better chances you have to succeed, as this is the business of fantasy. But it doesn't really matter much in life. At least, I never cared about dick size when I was dating. There are so many other qualities that I was looking for.

You look great. How do you keep in shape ?

Thank you. I go to the gym everyday in the morning and workout with my trainer. I take ab classes or yoga in the evening. I don't drink or smoke, and never tried drugs. I'm trying to live a very healthy life, which my line of work requires.

How does your work influence your private life ?

I does not influence my private life at all. My private life is absolutely separated from my professional life. My boyfriend is in a different business, and so are the majority of my friends. Overall, I'm obsessed with privacy.

Are you taken ?

I have been in three different serious relationships, and I am now in my fourth (and hopefully last) one. We are in the eighth year of our relationship.

Which side of the bed do you sleep, and what do you wear ?

Wait a second, didn't I just say I'm obsessed with privacy? ;-) I sleep on the side closest to the bathroom, and I sleep naked.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now ?

You know, I never know the answer to those types of questions. I am an atheist, but at this point, I'd like to say people makes plans, but God laughs.

Overall the interview is quite mild and lacks content, bland and can sometimes be quite dull (it shows lack of preparation by Ohlalamag.com) . With the chance of interviewing ML some of the best questions were completely forgotten.

Michael Lucas is taking porn (American and European) out of the closet and bringing it to a world stage, with his comments, his attitude towards life, politics, and the business around sex.
It is clear that his opinions don't round up many friends but it is also true that it is his 'take no bullshit' posture that makes him interesting. As he clearly says he is not looking for anything, so if people find him sexy or not I don't really believe that he cares very much about it.

Nonetheless, it is thanks to his looks (and lets not forget brains) that he has managed to succeed in life and in the sex industry.
In conclusion, just criticizing him because one does not like him shows traces of pure childish jealousy.

P.S. Regarding his photos with the cigarette, they are just it, photos, and if you believe that he really is smoking that cigarette then my congratulations to Greg Thompson and his crew on the production, they look very good.

I totally disagree with the above comments about Michael. I think he is a very Handsome and Sexy man. and as for the smoking issue, would you care if a main stream actor who doesn't smoke in his every day life is in a movie scene where he has to hold a cigarette? it doesn't matter.
