OHLALA RICARDO MUNIZ GOES BACKSTAGE ...

The 2008 Pill Awards, given to the top acts, musicians, directors and performers in the gay music scene, industry, and market, were presented this past Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Arena in New York City. Photographer Ricardo Muñiz went backstage to cover the Nico & Adrian show. We love how Ricardo captured the spirit, the energy of the dark-glam atmosphere.

Hosted by the gracious and statuesque, Peppermint, guests included gay celebrities and icons like Michael Musto of the Village Voice, singer Ari Gold, tea party hostess extraordinaire, Kevin Aviance, and Carmen Xtravaganza, the original mother of the House of Xtravaganza. None of this would have been possible, though, without the vision and guidance of the ever-fabulous and generous producer, Jeremy Aviance.
