YOUR OHLALA PERSONAL TRAINER AARON SAVVY
We have met Aaron Savvy at Andrew Christian's thanksgiving diner last year. On top of being a nice and really fun guy to hang with, he is also a personal trainer in Los Angeles. We have asked him a few questions, but from now on, you are going to be the one asking him questions about how to get and stay in shape "old school training". You can send your questions to YOUR Ohlala Personal Trainer here.
What is so different about Hollywood, this city where everybody wants to look
great and be in amazing shape ?
It’s California! It’s the entertainment capital of the U.S.A. Coming from Seattle the High Tech capital, fitness was on the low end of the totem pole. Image is everything here in Los Angeles. You have aspiring actors and singers, so the competition is going to be great.
How did you feel about being a personal trainer in the most self- conscious city on earth ?
It’s all about standing out, and that’s what I do best as a fitness trainer. I sculpt and transform the body into a mean, lean muscle body machine.
What is your philosophy in life, and while practicing?
What comes around goes around. Always be true to yourself and you will never be led astray. Too many people here in LA try to become others they are not. It is the ones who stay true to themselves and their beliefs that make it to the top. As far as fitness goes, I believe in being natural. If you're good to your body, your body will be good to you. This means feed your body well and stay clear of any anabolic steroid. I train in a style that's called "Old School Training". Old School Training is performing basic exercises, using precise weights, reps, form and muscle contraction. Of course I throw in my own exercises that I have created to add a touch of challenge and difficulty.
A Hollywood personal trainer cannot be only that after all. What are
other projects you are working on?
Though I love to train and help those achieve a new healthy life-style, I am in fact a man of many trades. I model and write for different fitness and life-style magazines. I help raise and contribute to organizations that help those less fortunate. I am in the process of working with Ohlalamag.com on spreading my knowledge on fitness, life-style and sex appeal to you. You too can achieve and start that new healthy-lifestyle. I am really excited! You are all in for a treat. I am also on the process of getting my own T.V show. Last but least, I have my own website AaronSavvy.com where I customize people’s fitness and nutritional plans. So not only will you have a plan when you’re in the gym, but you’ll have you’re nutrition down too.
What is the most fun experience you had while training someone ?
I have a client who has Muscular Dystrophy. 45 pounds over-weight and periods of not having the ability to control his muscles, I was able to help him shed his 45 pounds. He has the lean muscle mass, the attitude, energy and the confidence to accomplish anything he puts his mind too. To watch the transformation of this man, and to help him overlook his disability made my job that much more priceless.
How often do you train to keep your body in this amazing shape ?
I train 2.5-3 hours a day 6-7days a week. This is a life-style I have created. By no means does someone have to train to that extent to achieve my body. I am strict with my nutrition and I treat it with the upmost respect.
Where can we see Aaron in this city, beside your gym ?
That’s pretty much it for now. I train at Gold’s Gym Hollywood. If I am out, it’s at Club 11, Abbey or Here. If I am not at the gym, I am most likely home writing out fitness and nutritional plans for people.
