OHLALA MEET JET MAN

Yves Rossy aka Fusion Man, flew yesterday over the Alps with a jet-powered single wing !!!! After five years of training and many more years of dreaming he jumped out of a small plane into history. He says he will fly his four-engined strapon flying wing across the English Channel later this year. Watch the video

Once in full flight, Rossy can hit speeds of up to 300km/h, but can only stay in the air for 10 minutes before the fuel capacity of the small jets runs out. This is the second version of Fusionman's wing, after losing control of the first during a jump in 2005.
