OHLALA SO IMPORTANT! GAY HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL MONUMENT IN BERLIN
Germany unveiled a memorial yesterday to the long-ignored gay victims of the Nazi regime, a monument that also aims to address discrimination today by confronting visitors with an endless loop video of a male couple kissing. The monument was created by Ingar Dragset and Michael Elmgreen.
The Berlin mayor, Klaus Wowereit, who is gay, said at the opening Tuesday that "another part of our work of commemoration is becoming reality."
Nazi Germany declared homosexuality an aberration that threatened the German race, and convicted some 50,000 homosexuals as criminals. An estimated 10,000 to 15,000 gay men were deported to concentration camps, where few survived.

I don't think I really understand what this "monument" means... I mean why it has to be like a huge box or some kind of cage?... for me it's like they're caught yet or something. I didn't like it.
