RUSSIAN POP STAR DIMA BILAN WINS THE 2008 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST
The bare foot and open shirt Russian singer that we have mentioned on OhLaLa here has won with the song "Believe" the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest that was held in the Serbian capital Belgrade.
In the end, Bilan, a pop star with a huge following in Russia and other former Soviet countries, collected a total 272 points, leaving behind Ukraine on 230 and Greece on 218. Britain's entrant, Andy Abrahams, finished joint last on a miserly 14 points with his song "Even If." French electro-pop producer Sebastien Tellier, whose song "Divine" sparked controversy in his homeland as most of its lyrics were in English, did only slightly better, picking up 47 points.
The Eurovision is watched by more than 100 million television viewers around the world. The two disasters of this years (as always) France and England that you can watch along with the winner's performance HERE
UPDATE FOR RUSSIAN LOVERS ;-)
So our winner is not ... well let's say that he is not shy! As you have noticed he was almost not wearing anything for his performance at the Eurovision.

But back in Russia our winner may be conceder by some as an exhibitionist. I am not sure if I like the one where he is naked in the refrigirator, or the one where he is (unsuccessfully) trying to hide his private parts with a helmet the best ... I let you decided and see all the photos HERE!

Below, Divine video clip of French contestant Sebastien Tellier.
And the last one England ....

I wished Paolo Meneguzzi had shaved his chest and stripped half naked on stage to impress people so he could win this contest. I mean, he is the best looking guy and with the best song of them all. Well, maybe the Danish guy could be the best with his "All Night Long" song. ESC is getting worse every year. They always manage to outdo themselves every year in picking the worse song

Oh... It's getting worse every year, you are so right. I am from Germany. Our "Angels" are on the last place. That's a shame. I think, the song was not the best, but better than some others. I didn't like the russian song. It's boring. And the show around it? What was wrong with the iceskater? Stupid. I think the Song from the ukraine was the best one.
And the desastersongs from azerbaijan and bosnia-herzegovina. Oh my good. So many points for stupid songs.

Paolo is the best looking one of all! It's a shame that he didn't even get to the final. My pick would have been him, Sweden or Ukraine. The Russian winner sucked!
Thank got the UK contestant got last. Bad singing and bad look! He's got the scariest facial features!

Well, I was lucky enough to be in the Belgrade Arena and watch this live, and I can tell you that most people were pretty pissed off!
If anyone else from the top 10 would have won it would have been deserved, but this sucked.
However, I disagree that songs are getting worse and winners too. Last years winner, Marija Serifovic, is probably my all time favorite winner. And I'm so happy she won because otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone to Serbia. Belgrade is a great city, but what really stands out is the nice people and nice restaurants and clubs :)

Paolo has many great songs, too. One particular song called "Ho Bisogno D'amore" is well liked by so many people, one could literally find hundreds of homemade slideshow/movie made for this song up on the Web. I don't see one made from the movie Brokeback Mountain, though. I plan to make one. Wish me luck. When I heard this song the first time, my heart just melted... Look it up and check it out and tell me yours don't do the same... Even though he didn't win this stupid contest, he sure has won many true fans. Me included. :-)
PS: Just kidding about *stupid contest*. Without it, I wouldn't have known about Paolo Meneguzzi

@Me
But did you know that his song is accused of being stolen? I must say it's a bloody big coincidence at least, check out the song It can only get better, by Amy Diamond, and I will check out Ho bisogno d'amore for you instead. Deal?

Um... I've seen it... Too bad, I'm not a heterosexual male and I'm not into pedophilia either. So her performance & "her song" didn't do it for me. Though, I can't speak for others, of course. For those that are into kiddie porn, look it up and check it out. You might get that long eluded hardon.
And as to my recommendation, I'm not here to bargain with you. You don't have to do it. It's like a doctor's recommendation to a patient of where to stick his dick in (a committed, well known partner) to prevent STD. Of course, there are still tons of fools out there that don't listen and end up with STD. If you know what's good for you, check out songs that are well like by millions. If you love to listen to a bunch of noises made by a constipated person during bowel movement, go right ahead to that kiddie porn one hit wonder Amy Blingbling site.

@Me:
I'm not recommending the song, but Paolo's writer obviously loved it since he decided to steal it from the little girl and rename it Era stupendo.
