SLUTBUCKS STARBUCKS RETRO LOGO ... TOO HOT TO HANDLE FOR SOME!

A Christian group based in San Diego found grounds for outrage over the new retro-style logo. I had no idea some people were that bored ....
The Resistance says the new image "has a naked woman on it with her legs spread like a prostitute. It’s extremely poor taste, and the company might as well call themselves Slutbucks.“ LOL! The logo will run on Starbucks cups for "several more weeks," said company spokeswoman Bridget Baker, and will live on as the logo for Pike Place bags of coffee.

Im thinking that since this image/iconography has been used since ancient Roman times ( reference to amazing sculpture in the MET in New York), this group has no idea what they are talking about and I smell the tell table smell of religion hanging around.

Good lord. Don't let them go to Ireland and see the Sheila na gigs on the churches! They actually *are* naked women with their legs spread apart. Those wacky pagans!

If they're so clean, why the hell woud they see something dirty in something so ordinary? I mean, I see mermaid on a coffee cup and they see "legs spread like a prostitute"? They must have been exposed to a lot of prostitutes to know such a thing.

Christians are scary!
(For more proof, watch "Jesus Camp". That movie shook me to the core!)

Good lord. For one, she had no nipples, so it's tasteful. Two, she's not even human; she's a siren with two tails, not "legs." If those aren't mermaid tails, those are the scaliest legs I've ever seen, haha. Seriously, glasses and contacts aren't that expensive.

What this again illustrates is that the religious right is simply made up of vicious, stupid and ultimately completly futile and unnecessary people who are incapable of contributing anything real to society. Instead of wasting time on critiqueing starbucks cups maybe they should follow their masters example and help feed the poor, care for the sick or educate the ignorant. On urther thought whats so problematic about a womens spread legs -weren't they made by their "Lord" anyway?

Why didn't Starbucks compromise and have a cross (or 2 crosses) sticking out of her ass. That way, both parties are happy. Jeez
