THE WINNER OF AMERICAN IDOL 2008 IS DAVID ...

Tonight we had to go out, so before leaving the house we made sure that the finale of American Idol season 7 was going to be recorded. When we came back, I sat comfortably in front of the tv and played the all show, Ok! I actually fast forwarded it to see George Michaels performance, which was terrific btw. Watch it on the video below (left).

After that I just wanted to know who won the 7th season of American Idol but my stupid video recorder decided to end the recording just when Ryan Seacrest was saying "and the winner is David .... !!!" So frustrating but funny at the same time, check out the video below (right) hopefully I just had to switch on my computer to find out the result and as you all know by now the winner is David Cook! Which I hate ... this guy looks like he needs to take a shower !!!!

Shyeah...and I suppose you wanted the kid with sunlight streaming out of his ass to win. For once America actually grew a brain on this one. We all know the little messiah would've been too busy singing whatever his father wanted him to sing to come up with anyhting distinctly "his own".

I wouldn't worry about Cook winning. In fact, it's probably the absolute worst thing for him, career wise, to have won AI. With the title comes much responsibility, including, but not limited to an IRON CLAD contract :). Cook is totally screwed. He can't make the record he wants, he's locked into a crappy contract, and he has to sing pop music, which is sweet sweet irony to me hehe. So don't feel bad for Archuleta. He gets to set the terms for his own contract and make a record that really compliments his style. Let the forehead have this crown, it's never going to fit on that head of his and soon he'll be washed up.

Like Archie has a choice. AI and 19E owns his ass too. Anyway, I'm too happy to bitch, it's the first time my pick won since Kelly.

I'm glad Cook won!! he is the most talented, the other David was a pretty good singer but had no personality, no characteristic and his voice was kinda boring. His shyness and bad stage presence was boring after the first few shows.
David Cook is a real artist. And he's not "screwed" the people behind Idol aren't stupid, they want to make money and the reason he won is because of is style of music and singing that people liked, Kelly made her pop music, Ruban made his R&B, Carrie made her country album, I think David's album will be true to his rock/pop style and voice.
Sure the other David was a cutie but thats about it, sure he could sing pretty good but his voice and talent only went so far and I am sure that if he wasn't cute he wouldn't have made it that far on just his singing. For once in a long time, a proper Idol was voted!! I can't wait for his album.
Oh and George Michael was an awkward out of place performance, total downer song for the show at that moment. he was good, but totally out of place, he should have sang something waaaaaay more upbeat and fun.

LoL, oh that's right, he's not screwed at all. I mean, after all, in his first single, he gets to sing about magical rainbows! No totally, he's a rocker through and through.
Seriously, this is awesome. Cook is singing about rainbows and leprechauns, Archuleta gets to make the record he wants with the recording agency he wants. AI and 19E only "own" him through the AI concert tour.
Enjoy forehead fans. I know I will :D

@Josh. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Archuleta's still bound by Idol contracts...so it the rest of the top 12. Get a clue!

Sigh... I love it when people get on here and spout off without any clue or defense to back up their silly statements.
"His immediate plans are fixed. Archuleta is still under contract with "American Idol" through the end of the upcoming summer tour. (It runs July 1-Sept. 13, including two already sold-out dates at the E Center on July 14 and 15.) He's thinking of possibly playing the piano on the tour, but neither that nor what songs he'll sing have been determined yet.
After the tour, Archuleta is a free agent. And he's already talking to various record companies about producing an album."
Now sit down and be quiet :)
