This afternoon the swearing ceremony took place in the holy capital. 34 new and fresh halberdiers of the famous Pontifical Swiss Guard swore allegiance to Pope Benedict XVI as the world's smallest army marked its 501st anniversary. I can't wait for their calendar ;-)
leave it to the roman catholic clergy to make sure that the new guards are hot young men.... i wish i was surprised, but i'm not.
