CARNET DE VOYAGE: RAINBOW HALO AROUND THE SUN

Maybe it is because we don't really look up all the time but we are not used to witness rainbow halos around the sun very often. I am glad we haven't missed this one because it was just too beautiful.



So Alek, Celine and I took a moment out of our pool time to enjoy this amazing mother nature moment in the south of France!



The explanintion is simple, high clouds overhead made of tiny ice crystals which will refract the sunlight much like a prism will. And voila! You have a rainbow halo around the sun.



But we prefer to see this as a blessing moment of mother nature ;-)
