:: A 1913 Law Dies to Better Serve Gay Marriages. On Tuesday, the State Senate voted to repeal a 1913 law that prevents Massachusetts from marrying out-of-state couples if their marriages would not be legal in their home states.

:: As several gay rights groups criticized John McCain for saying he opposed gay adoption, the McCain campaign issued a clarification on Tuesday saying that he believed the issue should be decided by the states, and that such adoptions should not be subject to a federal ban.

:: The Italian government has been ordered to pay $160,000 to a gay man who was given a driver's license for the disabled. He was assigned that special license because he declared his sexual orientation when he was called up for mandatory military service in 2000.
