CARNET DE VOYAGE: LABOR DAY! SOUTH OF FRANCE

Even if we are in France, we have decided to respect the US tradition of Labor Day. It is the symbolic end of the summer and also my birthday, so Alek and I have decided to go and celebrate it with my family in the south of France.



BBQ, nap by the pool, the perfect way to end "symbolically" the summer before returning to the land of eternal spring, Los Angeles.





Celebrating my birthday was not the only reason why we came to the south for the weekend, we also wanted to spend some time with my goddaughter Eva. She is so beautiful and smiling all the time, I LOVE her :-)

A couple of weeks ago Samantha and Valerie, the housemates and lesbian couple of Secret Story in France, broke up live on prime time television ... sad ... today one week after the last one was evicted they had another announcement to make live ... their wedding (yes the girls are from Belgium a country where it is legal and they do not treat gays as second class citizens, like in France for example) congratulations girls! I think a parade on the 5th Avenue or Times Square in NYC would have been more apropriate to welcome back a true American Hero ... but today there is probably more cash doing Main Street USA in Orlando and posing for a box of cereals ...



A couple of days ago, in the UK Michael Phelps got to parade in front of Buckingham Palace in central London with fancy smoke out of some plane's butt.
