MICHAEL PHELPS EQUALS SPITZ'S 7 GOLD MEDALS
If Michael Phelps was a country by itself he would be ranked number 4 in the number of medals !!!! Yes he did it again by 0.01 of a second to Serbian swimmer Milorad Cavic. I don't even know how you can calculate for sure a difference of 0.01 !!!!! Anyway this is just amazing ... but some some people at The Chicago Tribune thinks Michael Phelps is not patriotic enough ... yep!
"Despite the support Phelps is getting from America, he doesn't seem to think he owes the country the respect it deserves. Does he not know the words to our national anthem, or has he just decided not to sing because it will become mundane after hearing it eight times in Beijing?" During one relay medal ceremony, Phelps and Ryan Lochte were talking and laughing. I couldn't believe their blatant disrespect for America, the country they are representing."
Come on can't you just be happy for other people !!!?
Michael Phelps needs a victory in tomorrow's 400-meter medley to break the mark Spitz set in Munich in 1972. Do you think he can do it ... hell yes !!!!!!
+ Olympic Notebook Day 7 + Phelps Makes it 6 Golds 6 World Records + Olympic Notebook Day 6 + OhLaLa The US Gymnast Team + Olympic Notebook Day 5 + Les Greco Roman Wrestlers Steeve and Christophe Guenot Making History +

I fail to see why some dumb jock's self-absorbed attempt to win more medals than anyone else is even news. The fact that he eats enough food in one day to feed six people is just plain disgusting--can you imagine his bowel movements...
The ancient Greeks would find the Olympics we hold today insane--they did not believe in specialization--the games were about balance not about pitting unnatural freaks of nature against each other.
As for the national anthem--who gives a shit if he sings it or not. I hate jingoistic fanatics who equate patriotism with blind zeal.

Michael Phelps is an ectomorph -- tall, thin muscles, and very high metabolism. Which means he burns through food. Which means that he HAS TO eat a lot, or he'd be too weak to walk, let alone swim.
As for your bitter comments about Michael being self-absorbed. Let Michael specialize in excellence. You've got "being average" covered !!

Wow, barley--you took that way too personally. Is English your second language--your grammar could use a little help.

Wow, huh -- nothing wrong with my grammar. I guess I'll have to alert you to the fact that this is a "conversation," not an essay. (Which is why I'm allowed to begin sentences with "which.")
Please review the second paragraph in your original post. "Run on" sentences should always be avoided. They're only tolerable when the grammar is correct. Yours was not.
(The three clauses are discordant -- to say the least -- and you forgot to put a comma after the word "balance.")
In your last post you seem to be asking me a question, but you forgot the question mark !! (Ain't grammar a bitch?)
If you can take some time off from contemplating Phelp's "bowel movements," I could recommend an ESL course for you.

Milorad "Mike" Cavic (left) is the best looking among the three!
