CARNET DE VOYAGE: ARRIVEDERCI ROMA
Ciao Italia, our extended weekend in Rome has come to an end. We had an amazing time and I am glad you guys loved the photos. For our last day we went to the Vatican's Museum which is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. We did enjoy the most of our stay and we have a lot to share today ...
We did take a lot of time to enjoy our room and the view one more time. The Hotel de Russie is an amazing place and if you plan a trip to Rome one day this is the place to stay. So now let's start our tour ...
The Vatican Museum was the last thing we have decided to do and I can say that it was the cherry on the cake. I was really excited to see the Sistina Chapel with my own eyes. It's a long way to get to the Chapel and Michelangelo's masterpiece, but its one of the most amazing walks I took in my all life ...
Room after room I just could not believe how beautiful this place is.
After an hour walk here it was ... The Sistine Chapel. The painting on the ceiling is huge and this is just a tiny tiny part of it but it is also the most iconic image God giving life to Adam.
Below, a sexy Museum's employee. Old, new, everything can be sexy in Italy ;-)
Before going to the airport we had to go to the fountain of Trevi one last time. and just to give you an idea of the place, I took a picture of something we don't get to see on the postcards, the other side of the fountain, crowded 24/7!
Before we leave the city, we have for you some pictures by night in the second part of the post.
Gusto, a great restaurant on Piazza Augusto.
The courtyard of the Hotel de Russie.

Hey Steph, Alek,
Ahhhh...Rome, I've been trying to go there countless of times, but it still hasn't materialised.
LOVE the photography as always.
And unfortunately, I have to third the opinion about the ad...it's extremely distracting. I know it's your space here and you should do whatever you want to it....but really, half of that space is now dedicated to advertisement...that's just a bit too much, don't you think?

Are you guys working for free !? I bet you don't even think about complaining about the ads when you buy a magazine so get over it.

Last time I was in the Vatican, it was strictly forbidden from taking any photos or video capture in the Sistine Chapel. Did that change or did you guys sneak a picture in?

Josh, you are right, photos are not allowed in the Sistine Chapel. Please guys, follow the rules.
