TODAY IS OUR LAST DAY IN PARIS ... AS PARISIANS!
Alek and I have moved to Paris 11 years ago. Yes I was only 12! Time goes by so quickly ;-) Tomorrow we are flying back home in Los Angeles, this will be our official move since we have now sold everything in Paris.
I don't want to look back and feel nostalgic about this period of our lives. We had a blast living in Paris, I had no plans for staying that long in fact but Alek came along with an all new adventure. We went through so many stressful situations 'immigration wise' in France with Alek who is originally from Serbia that getting our papers for the US was like asking for a croissant in Paris ;-)
Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of our lives and we are so excited ...
WOW - I hope you enjoy LA.
Paris would be a very hard place to leave!
I love Paris!
Good Luck!

Quel dommage!
Well since I've never been to L.A, I can only believe L.A offers something even more exotic than Paris (beside the necessity of ur job I guess. lol)
I hope everything will go great for you guys!
Au revoir Paris et bienvenue à L.A

I am always struck by how your occasional personal posts elicit such an affectionate outpouring from your readers. Probably because your tone is always so sincere and positive and life-loving.
Interesting that "getting our papers for the US was like asking for a croissant in Paris." You are USA's gain and France's loss. The Eiffel Tower will miss you, certainment!

As an iranian who move to france 20 years ago i know how much is hard to go to Prefecture de police and how bad people treat you there. Compare to american officers who are mostly polite and honest. Everything is so easy in States. I think French authority with their attitude will push intelligent people to move to other countries. Anyway, good luck in States.
