LET'S WALK!

Today we have received our social security number only 10 days after applying for it. Coming from a 'French administrative background' everything that is taking under a month seems like a little miracle to me!

At this time of the year in Paris we were usually getting ready for the winter, and the umbrella was my best friend. In Los Angeles it's a different story in fact temperatures are rising to reach a nice 35ºc (95ºf) over the weekend. Since we have arrived from Paris, today was really the first day where we took some time to relax by the pool and enjoy the sunset.



Besides the 'weather factor' the other thing that changed drastically from Paris is the walk. Nobody walks for no reason in L.A. But luckily we live by Runyon Canyon which as you know by now is the hiking Hollywood spot. Basically, it's the same view than from our place, but it's still worth the effort and the sweat.



You can either decide to take it easy and just walk slowly your way to the top, or sweat a little bit and hike your way to the top and that's what we did (picture above).



Time to time you can take a break and just enjoy the view, which honestly no matter how many times you go there is stunning.



The light and colors are perfect at this time of the day and the city starts to sparkle with thousands of lights, it's so beautiful.



Once you reach the top we usually like to sit on this oversized bench (below) and talk for a while and look at the people walking by, which most of the time includes models, movie and television stars. After all, walking in Los Angeles isn't such a bad thing ...
