MATTHEW MITCHAM THE HUMBLE HERO + SPORTS REVIEW
Olympian Matthew Mitcham who has become a gay icon talk to Australian magazine SX with this exclusive interview since winning Beijing gold. Photos by John McRae.
“I’m not really that famous,” he tells SX, in his first major interview since Beijing, and a subsequent holiday in Europe to wind down. “I’m just not anonymous anymore, that’s all.” As for the endless speculation over sponsorship deals and advertising, Matt will only say: “There’s been expressions of interest, but nothing has been signed. We’re working on things.”
Rumours of him agreeing to lead next year’s Mardi Gras Parade remain just that, too – rumours. At least at this stage: “I know for Mardi Gras organisers it’s probably not far away, but for me it’s so far into the future it’s not even something to think about now. I will think about it though, and I will be talking to them.”
Read the all interview online [SX News] and enjoy the un-hero-rated image in the second part of the post ;-)
let me give you amazing Russian gymnast Maxim Deviatovski at the gymnastics World Cup in Germany today ... isn't he like ... perfect!
It is hard to pick one or two or any picture of Maxim, so instead of the usual dilemma I have to go through daily for you guys (the things I wouldn't do in the name of hotness ...) I have decided to post them all :-P And let you pic your favorite position.
Guillaume Bousses is a French rugby player from Paris as you can tell by the pink outfit that fits him quite well I have to say ... he has a sexy face too ;-) I just love the look of the guy under him desperately trying to grab
Such a pretty picture Cristiano Ronaldo and hunky Manchester United co-player the 27 year old Serbian soccer player Nemanja Vidic. Me too I would be flying if if was hugging me like that from the back ;-)
Jean-Baptiste Grange from France celebrating his victory at the men's slalom somewhere in some snowy mountains. Sexy!
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic celebrating his victory over Nikolay Davydenko at the ATP Masters Cup in Shanghai by jumping high and throwing his sweaty shirt into the cheering crowd.
Above two players from the FC Porto sharing a victory moment ... I just don't want to think of the things that go on behind closed locker room doors ;-) Below, pumping his fist to his buddies is quarterback Tim Tebow of the Florida Gators.
I just love those two fans of the Alabama Crimson Tide today in Tuscaloosa.
