CRITICS' CHOICE AWARDS! EARTHQUAKE AND FUN NIGHT WITH FRIENDS
So tonight we went to Santa Monica for the Critic's Choice Awards. And as we have predicted in our top 20 movies of 2008, Slumdog Millionaire won the best picture award. Didn't we tell you that it was the best movie of the year? ;-) We love Danny Boyle's movies and could not be happier with him winning this award.
Sean Penn received the award for Best Actor and Milk also received the award for Best Acting Ensemble. We have got the chance to finally congratulate him for his amazing performance. It was also nice to get to chat with the producer of Milk. Unfortunately James Franco was not there :-( But we still love him.
I have to admit that it is hard not to be overwhelmed in the presence of someone you really like or someone who delivered an amazing performance but at the same time you do not want them to think you're a crazy person! So you just go with the nice to meet you and congratulations, in order not to have them smile at you and immediately walk away ...
The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan accepted the award for Best Supporting Actor for Heath Ledger! And Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie looking absolutely stunning, even in real they look supernatural. All the results of tonight's awards on VH1 2009 Criticss Choice Awards.
It was nice to be able to spend some time with our friends Andrew, Galen and Travor at the after Party.
At some point during the party I thought I lost my balance ... and quickly blamed the peartini I was drinking, so I kind of kept low profile ...
It's only once back home that we realized we had a series of mini earthquakes that followed a 4.5 located east of Los Angeles. As you can see below it was felt in the entire city, so I am happy to report that I do not have a drinking problem :-) On the down side, specialists says this could be an indicator of more stronger earthquakes to come ...
Now that I look back at Brad Pitt's picture (above) I think he had the same reaction as me and also decided to put down his cosmo ;-)
