OF COURSE TINTIN'S GAY!
Funny trousers a long silky scarf around his neck, always with Snowy (Milou in French) his fluffy white terrier. Tintin was probably my very first gay fashion icon...
The fact that he was living in a beautiful castle with Haddock, a sailor, never talked about his family, and his best female friend was an opera diva should have ring a bell ... well I was young at that time!
Those who know me, would have prpbably guessed tat my favorite adventure is 'Tintin au Tibet' so I take this opportunity to share another cover with you! No need to comment on that!
Former politican and writer Matthew Parris – who is also gay – says the evidence is “overwhelming” [The Sun] Columnist Parris made the claim as the popular Tintin series celebrated its 80th anniversary this week.
He said: “Tintin is a callow, androgynous blonde-quiffed youth in funny trousers and a scarf. And his moving into the country mansion of his best friend, a middle-aged sailor?" You see exactly what I told you!
The tales sold more than 200million copies and been translated into 50 languages. And I am proud to say that I do have every single copy :-)
in 1970 Tintin was made into a movie in France! Below the opening scene and one of my favorites where Tintin is giving Milou (the movie is in french bien sur) a massage on the bed next to the captain ;-)
