SOMETIMES IT IS WORTH TO DREAM BIG!
Every year, on the third monday of January, people in America observe the Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Martin Luther King Jr was the youngest person to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his work to end racial segregation and racial discrimination.
It was over a decade before I was born, in 1963 that Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his 'I Have a Dream' speech and this is how the speech started:
"I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation."
This year, the national holiday comes the day before Barack Obama is inaugurated as the first African American President adding so much significance to Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Every single person who came to this country did it because they believe in what this country can be and each one of them wanted to be a part of it. I am one of those people and today I am so proud to be in America more than I could have never been!
This week is about to change the face of an entire nation that goes beyond the borders of this country. Having a dream is what makes us humans and sometimes it is worth to dream big.
