VANESSA MINNILLO TALKS TO OHLALA ABOUT “TRUE BEAUTY”
Just hours before TRUE BEAUTY premiers on ABC we have got the chance to ask the show host/judge Vanessa Minnillo a few questions about this beauty show with a twist:
Q: What is to you a true beauty ?
VM: To me that would be someone that manages to command your attention in a room without having to say a word, their aura. Yet, validates everything you hoped once you get to know them. Beauty comes in so many shapes and sizes, and the "beauty" of it (no pun intended) is that we are all beautiful in our own ways... sometime we don't see it.
Q: When you saw the contestants for the first time which ones did you find the most appealing visually ?
VM: All of them. I knew not to judge any of them initially on just their appearance. There is so much to a person, that I was anxious to hear them speak, and get to know them so I could really start to see their true colors, and true drama!
Q: Tell us something nice and funny about your co-judges.
VM: They are both the same yet different. Cheryl was rocking the same 5 inch stilettos I was. She was wearing my giuseppe's ysl's, and christian louboutins... I was AMAZED! I've had a legend in my shoes... literally. And Nole... I want to hug and kiss him all day, he really is a Teddy Bear, even though, he knows how to stir the pot. I was calling him "firestarter" on the set! haha! The man loves his drama
Q: Mirror, mirror on the wall how important is beauty in your real life ?
VM: Well, in this industry, appearance does play a factor... for me me its fun to get dressed up and wear makeup and have my hair done. But beauty does fade, and I've learned thru experience that the depth of who you are as a person takes you further than you could ever imagine! Dream BIG!!!
Make sure to tune in and check TRUE BEATY on ABC Monday Nights. Each episode will showcase an outer beauty and an inner beauty challenge, during which contestants will be judged on everything from how well they perform in photo shoots to how well they respect their elders. At the end of eight episodes, one winner will be declared, a person who is truly beautiful inside and out. That person will receive a cash prize and a spot in PEOPLE magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful People issue.
