JERRY HALL FOR CHANEL
Jerry Hall (52 years old) is what we call a 'cougar' in the new Chanel spring summer 2009 campiagn featuring Baptiste Giabiconi photographed by Karl Lagerfeld. Inspired by the 'Cheri' novel by Colette, the model plays the role of an older woman in a boudoir fantasy for the Chanel accessories catalogue.
Karl picked Jerry to shoot because, as "Oscar Wilde said, 'I like men who have a future, and women who have a past.' It is this whole idea of seduction that is summarised here that appeals to me. One of a very young man fascinated and attracted by what a woman does: her wardrobe, her perfume, her movements, her allure, etc."
