EARTH HOUR 2009!
WHAT DID YOU DO!?
As 8.30 pm struck in each time zone 4000 cities and towns in 88 countries switched off the lights to mark Earth Hour, a World Wildlife Fund sponsored campaign to highlight the threat of climate change.
More than 350 landmarks worldwide switched their lights off from the ancient Giza Pyramids in Cairo, Egypt to the Empire State building in New York City the world went dark for an hour ... even in Los Angeles (as you can see below) Alek and I turned off our computers and lights for a candlelight cocktail on the terrace ... which is something we do way more than once a year ;-)
In the gallery below more photos from around the world.
