THE OC WANTS TO ECLIPSE AMTRAK MOONING

Riding on the Amtrak may not be the most pleasant experience, unless you are planning to ride the Amtrak in Laguna Niguel Orange County California on July 11th.

Typically starting early in the morning and continuing into the night, Moon Amtrak is said to have started when a patron offered to buy drinks for any of his buddies who would run out to the tracks and bare their bottoms for the next passing train. Many did, and a tradition was born.



It has an official website [Moon Track] with even estimated passenger train passing times, lol!

Unfortch, officials in the south Orange County city are planning to crack down on the event! BOOOOO! The OC are so boring let's keep a little fun over there ...

Last year the police intervention ended the fun before the actual real moon rised! But as you can see on the picture below, the police was kind of cool with the mooners ;-)



Today the City Council voted a series of ordinances designed to eclipse the 30-year-old 'Moon Amtrak' event. The measures, which include banning street parking and cordoning off the mooning grounds for four days and permanently banning public alcohol consumption to discourage 'rowdy' behavior.

“What was originally just a fun, family-type of event of showing your rear end to the train has just gotten out of control,” said Linda Solorza, the city’s police chief. Last year’s event was shut down by authorities, who brought in more than 50 officers and a squadron of helicopters to restore order. “There were people that were drunk, unable to care for themselves and in various stages of undress. There were sex acts, urinating in public or baring their breasts to the passing trains".

I have discover the mooning thing right here in the US, it was actually on my first road trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas about 9 years ago! I was driving with a friend of mine (a hot blond girl) and I can tell you that we had the pleasure to be mooned by 4 hot hunky guys ... we did caught their 'insolence' on video ;-)

But can you really stop the madness once it has reached his cruise speed !? ;-) In my opinion those party mooners will eventually find another spot. More photos from previous years and a video HERE.
