2009 EUROVISION SONG CONTEST
AND THE WINNER IS ...
This year over 100 million people have watched the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, making it one more time, one of the most viewed events on the planet. The competition first took place in 1956.
This year the show was not just international, it became for the first time intergalactic :-) with the first vote coming out of space from the MIR station ... how cool is that !? Take that American Idol with your votes from Kansas and your average of 26 million viewers ;-)
Dita Von Teese failed to impressed Europe with her performance with hunky german singer finishing at the 20th position (of 25 contestants)
The Greek Sakis Rouvas also did not impress even with his tight white suit and high jump.
The big winner this year was 23-year-old Alexander Rybak from Norway and his song called "Fairytale" a landslide victory in the Eurovision Song Contest with the most points in Eurovision's 53-year history.
So if there is one video you have to see it is this one, even tho I do not like the song at all, it is a Eurovision-kitsch-classical!
I have to say that we also liked Igor Cukrov the singer from Croatia (above) and the hosts of the show Alsou and Ivan Urgant (below).
