OHLALA Mag: THE 2009 AMFAR IN CANNES FRANCE!RAISING MONEY & KISSING ROBERT PATTINSON

Last night the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cannes was the place to be and the place to spend your money at the amfAR, Cinema Against AIDS benefit hosted by Sharon Stone.

Founded in 1985, amfAR had its roots in 1983 with the NY based AIDS Medical Foundation (AMF) and the Los Angeles based National AIDS Research Foundation. Its goal was to raise funds for research since the Government was slow in providing funds. It is one of the world’s leading nonprofit organizations dedicated to the support of AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy. Since 1985, amfAR has invested nearly $290 million in its programs and has awarded grants to more than 2,000 research teams worldwide.

Besides raising money for an good cause it is also important to know that this even can help you make dreams come true ... Like kissing Robert Pattinson for example. There were two bidders who paid 20.000 euros each for their daughters to have that kiss... don't you wish your mother were that sweet and rich !?

I wonder what would have happened if one mom paid another 20.000 so Robert Pattinson can kiss not her daughter but her son ;-)

Donatella versace looking like she just kissed Donald Duck, Verne Toryer looking ... smaller than ever. The black carpet at the Cap-Eden-Roc was definitely the place to be, even Paris Hilton and Doug Reinhardt were there! And had the decency not eating each others face ... ! Even if at some point Doug did tried for a minute! Paris even dropped some diamonds braclet on the floor and Doug as the real class act that he is just let her bend to her knees to grab those couple of millons on the carpet. I am just loving this guy ... don't you!?
