ROWING CHAMPION PETER REED RECEIVING ROYAL HONOR
Today in London, Olympic rowing champion Peter Reed received a royal honor from Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
Peter Reed who going to be 29 in July is also a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy and has achieved two gold medals in the World Championships and a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. yes that's him below getting emotional ;-P
Peter Reed is known for having the largest recorded lung capacity (whatever that's useful for!) with 6 feet 6 inches tall it is not surprising that he has bigger everything ;-)
Originally due to return to full-time naval duties after returning from Beijing but he confirmed on 6 November 2008 that he had been given permission to continue training for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.
