SEE "Dim Sum Funeral" with BAI LING in Theater
Hey guys, we wrote about "Dim Sum Funeral" before HERE and HERE, but after being presented in 10 festivals all over the world, the movie finally opens in theaters on June 12 and you can get all the info on their Official Site www.dimsumfuneralthemovie.com , and you HAVE TO SEE IT :-) It is really great.
Dim Sum Funeral revolves around the lives of estranged adult siblings from a Chinese-American family who are summoned home to Seattle by their former nanny to mourn the death of their mother. The four Westernized children each have their own issues to resolve but reluctantly work together to fulfill their mother’s dying wish of a traditional Chinese funeral. In the process, they soon discover more about themselves and their mother than they ever fathomed. The film is a touching and funny look at the tenets of tradition and the idiosyncrasies of family.
There are several personal stories in the movie but one of them is about lesbian daughter's lover played by Bai Ling. In the latest issue of Frontiers magazine she talks about ... hmmm well I let you read it here page 135. LA Times has published a long article on movies director Anna Chi. On the photo right above you can see our friend and amazing scrip writer Donald Martin presenting the movies poster. Now see the preview bellow and go to cinema on friday June 12, and have fun :-)
