2009 MUD FESTIVAL IN SOUTH KOREA
Every year the Annual Mud Festival is taking place at Daecheon Beach in South Korea. It's Like, Guys and Girls Gone Wild, meets wrestling, meets spa experience. The mud is considered rich in minerals and used to manufacture cosmetics.
The event became so popular among tourists and American GI's.
So popular that it seems there wasn't enough mud for everyone this year.
The economy generated from the festival supports the many hotels and restaurants along the waterway and several blocks inland ... along with some extra income for the medical system apparently ...
Unfortunately according to [Dailymail] some 200 out of 1,500 participants contracted some kinds of skin inflammations while they were undergoing mud baths ... really !!!? That surprises me ;-)
