Hiroshima's mayor urged global leaders on Thursday to back President Barack Obama's call to abolish nuclear weapons as Japan marked the 64th anniversary of the world's first atomic bomb attack by the United States of America killing 140,000 people in Hiroshima (another attack killed 80,000 in Nagasaki 3 days later) In both cities, the majority of the dead were civilians.
