LOS ANGELES IS WARMING UP AND IT'S GETTING SMOKY
Today we had to go to Santa Monica and thought it would be a sacrilege to drive all the way there and not take time to enjoy the beach.
So that's what we did, we parked on the beach, left our shoes and shirts in the car and sticked our feet in the sand for lunch.
Looking at the Ocean is so relaxing but looking at the lifeguards is relaxing too. It was a really nice lunch :-)
Looking at the lifeguards I also noticed a big cloud of smoke rising up, you could even see some smoke rolling on the Malibu hills like the fog.
This is the result of two wildfires in the Los Angeles National Forest. Public health officials said air quality is unhealthy throughout the county until sunday. Most of the smoke is concentrated in the San Gabriel, Pomona and San Bernardino valleys but it has already spread as far west as downtown Los Angeles.
As we were driving back home, we could clearly see the smoke. Of course it is highly recommended not to do any outdoor activities and still when we got home we could see all those idiots going for a hike at Runyon Canyon! You just wanna tell them: 'take a day off and eat some ice cream' ;-)
