WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN 2016!?

I know it is like in 7 years but Rio de Janeiro [our favorite city on earth after Paris] is competing for the summer Olympics. So between the 4 cities competing Chicago, Rio de Janeiro, Madrid and Tokyo, my heart has voted! But even on top it does not smell good for Rio ...



Even their logo is the best!



The only little tiny concern people may have is that the Summer Olympics are taking place in August which means it will be winter in Rio de Janeiro! But August is the lowest month in precipitations and temperatures are between 66 and 77!



International Olympic Committee said that:

Chicago big plus is its "compact venue plan with minimal travel time for athletes" [Who cares, take a limo!] and a "well-designed" lakefront Olympic Village that would offer "a special experience for athletes." [Ok it is not summer camp ... they will book they relaxing holiday next!]

Tokyo won praise for its "highly compact venue plan" that makes "effective use of the city's extensive and high-capacity public transportation network" Tokyo also got credit for securing a full financial guarantee from the national government.

Madrid won praise for its enormous public support and short travel times for the athletes. Which seems to be the main concern but since they have denied Paris for 2012 you never know what the final vote will be. especially with the 'IOC'! Madrid's plans for constructing some venues, including the Olympic Stadium, could result in "significant challenges"



While Rio earned kudos for "strong public support," but insufficient number of hotel rooms. It also noted that Rio "faces public safety challenges."
