LAS VEGAS L.A. /
OASIS CAFE AND GHOST TOWN
The fun part about Las Vegas is also the road trip, we always make micro stops along the way. As the proverb says It is the journey that matters, not the destination but some people seem to forget about that. Life is about enjoying the moment.
We have discovered the Oasis Cafe about a year and a half ago. It's at the entrance of the Mojave Desert and they do have some amazing burgers. Maybe the experience itself and location have a lot to do with the taste of those burgers, but they are still pretty amazing.
Spelling is not their strong point ;-) But who cares they have put so much effort in creating an amazing place that the glitters on the burger and letters are way more important to me.
It's literally in the middle of nowhere, we all have in memory Bagdad Cafe and this place is like the real deal.
Calico aka The Ghost Town is everything but deserted. But it is also a fun stop on the way back to Los Angeles. We stopped there mostly because of our friend Vincent who we knew would enjoy seeing an authentic old town for the Western movies.
The Cafe is pretty nice, it is located on top of a hill with the view on the valley.
I am telling you, if you come to Los Angeles and have to go to Vegas take your time and enjoy the road too. Previously in Las Vegas:
