Let me give you Chris Hyver a Los Angeles based photographer. For his first feature on OhLaLa we have some photos of Joshua Kuehl a 21 year old model from Bervely Hills California.



Those photos were taken a couple of days ago and we hope to show you more of Chris Hyver's work in the future.

I love the way the photographers was able utilize the tough yet angelic look. Josh has the most versatile face. A photographers’ dream canvas as seen in the pictures, josh takes to the camera so well. A mixture of Tom Cruise, Jonny Depp, and Orlando Bloom all rolled up in one. I love to see talent such as this from a photographer and the model, good work on both parts… I see this model going far…

I love the photo shoot. The model is amazing. It brings to mind a prison operating outside the eye of humanitarian organizations.

As the Hair Stylist and last minute Make Up Artist on this shoot I must say that Joshua Kuehl is one of the most laid back and talented model's I've worked with, his hair is naturally wavy, and the perfect length for his awesome face, and as you can see the camera just loves him!! We had no make up artist for this boxer look, Josh had brought special effects make up blood and dirt by Ben Nye, and while Chris was setting up I rushed to the closest surplus store on Hollywood Blvd for a camouflage stick to create the back eye and depth you see all over his body, I applied the blood on his fingers, body then on the nose and lips heavy enough to give that realistic beat up boxer look, I used the dirt powder all over for depth and accents, Chris had him roll all over the ground to get the pants and body dirtier, it was freaking cold in the location, Josh was shivering all over, not to mention spraying water on his face and body from time to time to create the sweaty look was just as cold, never the less and over all Josh was a great sport and we had a blast.. Chris Hyver totally rocked this photo shoot out by creating such a warm friendly and pleasant atmosphere that brought out the best in all of us, if you are looking for a skilled and super talented photographer look no further, He's your guy... I feel very fortunate to have worked with this two amazing guys here in Hollywood.

I commented on the model and the photographer however after reading the last post I now feel bad I failed to mention the awesome talent of the make up artist. There is so much talent we do not see behind the scenes. You did a great job... :)
