DAVID BECKHAM'S ACHILLES TENDON SURGERY WAS A SUCCESS
David Beckham left Milan, Italy, earlier today to go under surgery in Finland for his torn left Achilles' tendon, an injury that despite the success of the operation the injury is likely to keep him out of the World Cup.
The renowned doctor Professor Helmu Orawa, said the procedure had been a succes and he was confident the 34-year-old would be able to continue his career. David was injured in the closing minutes of AC Milan's 1-0 win over Chievo Verona yesterday.
Here is what the last message posted on David Official site this morning said: "David is on his way to Finland to see a specialist and have a scan on the injury. He is understandably upset but wants to thank everyone for their messages of support. He hopes to make a swift and full recovery."
Medical experts believe it will be at least three months before he will be able to start training and around nine months before he can play competitively again.
Sunday game was definitely not a great day on the field for David moment as he also suffered an injury on the face :-( Get well soon David!
Correction: surgeons name is Sakari Orava. Like it matters though..
