UN JOUR A L.A. PLAGE / SANTA MONICA & VENICE BEACH
Before we get to our day at the beach, let's talk about a really cool app that I have recently downloaded. It's called HIPSTAMATIC and it will change the way you take pictures with your iPhones. Until now, I hated taking photos with my iPhone ... until now!
It is like instantly looking at some cool vintage pictures that were left at the bottom of a drawer at your parents' house! I really love it and I have to confess a little addiction ;-) But the result is so cool and it really makes taking photos with your iPhone so much fun.
So in Los Angeles the best place to go on a relatively nice summer day is L.A. plage. Santa Monica and venice beach (L.A. cour des miracles as I like to call it) are two must see places on weekends.
Even if today was more like a nice winter day temperature wise, the beach was crowded mostly because no matter how cold and windy it is, it's the summer and everyone wants a piece of it.
We drove by the Santa Monica pier which was packed, but our destination was the south of Santa Monica at the border of Venice Beach. We usually like to park there and walk our way south the the Venice Beach promenade.
Despite the clouds (a scandalous thing around here) and a 'refreshing' wind coming from the Ocean, our day was really fun and I hope you will enjoy those photos.
