UK / Welsh Rugby Player Gavin Henson Is The New Bachelor

29 year old Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson, who recently spilt up from Charlotte Church has decided to give a try to reality tv to find love ... by signing up to star in The Bachelor, a new UK version of the US show where 25 women will compete for this newly bachelor.

The Welsh Rugby Union have given Henson permission to take part and have put together a training programme to ensure he is fit for the tournament in New Zealand.

"I'm so excited to have been cast as The Bachelor as I really feel the time is right for me to find a girl to hopefully spend the rest of my life with. I've always been dedicated to my rugby and continue to train hard but as the season draws to an end I can focus on meeting the right girl."

It's not his first try at reality tv, Henson has previously appeared on British television dancing competition Strictly Come Dancing and adventure series 71 Degrees North.
