I have to say that I love the idea of being able to get the looks from some of my favorite movies. It's a brillant idea and for that only a company like H&M with a cheap production and massive distribution could do that.
I know it's hard to follow the madness of Versace but the The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo H&M collection may just get the underground success the original movie had … But mo clothes inspired by Daniel Craig !?!? I am a bit disapointed 😉
Below a behind-the-scence footage from the photo shoot! with interviews with Trish Summerville, the costume designer of the film "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo", and also the designer of this collection inspired by Lisbeth Salander, the leading character of the film "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo".
This collection is getting some mixed reviews. Some are saying:
"The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo is about a woman attempting to outrun a sadistic rapist and solve a murder, so naturally you’d want to design a line of clothing around her look. Well, not really. It seems that H&M’s “Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” collection is mostly a mish-mosh of faded and dingy colors, intentionally worn fabrications and rather impossible to wear stretch faux leathers. So yeah, I won’t be bothering with any of it. But what about you? Feeling the Lisbeth Salander look?" [The Frisky]
"And while the whole collection does have a gothy-vibe to it, overall the pieces are pretty wearable–some are even sort of classic and chic-looking like the long black coat. Our favorite has to be the denim jacket with leather sleeves though." [Fashionista]
The H&M Dragon Tattoo Collection is available worldwide as from December 14th, exactly a week before the film is released.
