A Whole Blue World
Blue hues have undoubtedly made a splash in men's fashion this spring and summer, with suits in particular going a tone or two up from the usual navy to bolder, more electric shades. The look works equally well on all frames, so big and tall men should browse retailers like Jacamo men's clothing to find high-quality brands in blue.
One notable trend has been for all-blue suits – as demonstrated by Ewan McGregor in his recent GQ shoot, and this means everything from the shirt and tie right down to the socks (but not shoes, which should remain a tasteful brown). The navy suit is nothing new, but this season's catwalks saw sea blue, azure and even cyan blazers make themselves known. Checks and gingham shirts can be worn in blue with nearly everything, although it's best to avoid a tie in the same shade - go for a pale grey or silver instead to avoid clashing.
Even a more traditional look can be jazzed up with the addition of a bright blue scarf, jumper or boots - one of the great things about the colour is that it complements neutrals like grey and beige without looking too loud and showy. Whether you're getting an accessory or a whole new suit, it pays to think blue this season.
