Newly Wed Justin Timberlake to Star in the Film Runner, Runner

Two sets of fans had their fantasies crushed back in August when Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were wed. The two were engaged sometime last year and it was widely reported that the two were wed at a private ceremony in Jackson Hole, Wyoming on August 15th.

Their wedding didn't stop the two from working a hectic schedule. Jessica had recently been promoting Total Recall, a remake of the movie by the same name. Timberlake on the other hand has been involved in a project that has been anticipated for quite some time.

Per reports, the long anticipated crime thriller Runner, Runner is officially in post-production and according to IMDB, the film will be released in Septmber 2013. The premise of the film surrounds the world of online gambling. Leonardo DiCaprio stars in the film and is a businessman that is caught up in the dark side of the online gambling world.

According to the film's screenwriter David Levien, "We did just set up a project centering on the world of offshore online casinos with Leonardo attached. It's a great world. Some of the countries where online casinos are based are like the new version of the Wild West, and with so much money on the line there is lots of drama attached."

The game of poker has been in headlines a lot in the United States as three of the major online poker companies were indicted by the US government for illegally operating online poker rooms.

Timberlake will play the part of a young protege who is trying to learn the ropes of operating an online site. Ben Affleck will play the part of a shady online gambling operator and is the man Timberlake will learn the business from.

This film should draw a solid audience from fans of online gambling, but directors are hoping that the strong cast of leading men will draw in a strong female contingent and help the film do well once it is released next year.
