Bonne Année 2013! Happy New Year
For most of the people the year 2012 ended last night ... it will come to an end on January 14 for the people celebrating the Orthodox Christian claendar, February 10 for the people of China, February 11 for the Tibetans celebrating the Losar ... So plenty of other opportunities to celebrate, even tho, we have to remember that every day is a new day with the same opportunities and possibilities than January 1st.
I am not one celebrating the New Year or the holidays in general but I do like the fresh energy of the first day of the year..
Being from Europe and living in Los Angeles we get to "welcome the new year" 3 times in one day ... starting at 3pm (midnight in France) with our friends and families on the other side of the Ocean, it's fun to FaceTime people while having lunch on a sunny terrace and cheering for the new year with them. Then comes 9pm (midnight in NYC) and then this awkward moment when you have to wait for midnight to hit the west coast ... unlike Sydney celebrated and watched all over the world, nothing is happening in LA, one of the last major cities to plunge into the new year ...
2012 has been a pretty amazing year, nothing to complain about and this year in February will be (I believe) our 10th year anniversary with OhLaLa ... I mean ... that is pretty incroyable.
Bonne Année! Happy New year!
