During The Talking Dead following the the show’s midseason finale creator Robert Kirkman has set the record straight for Daryl Dixon, he is not gay. “Daryl Dixon is actually straight”.
Not that I really care about Daryl Dixon is gay or straight but Robert Kirkmancomfirmed that a new gay character is going to be introduced later this season when The Walking Dead comes back next year.
“We’ll definitely be entering a new phase in the show, and changing things possibly more dramatically than we’ve ever changed them before.”
As for this mid-season finale, amc apologizes for spoiling ‘The Walking Dead’.
At 10 p.m. Eastern time Sunday night—before the show had aired on the West Coast The Walking Dead Facebook page ran photo of Daryl (Norman Reedus) carrying deceased Beth (Emily Kinney) with the rather unambiguous headline “RIP Beth.”
We all know there is a time difference between the East Coast and the West Coast making it difficult to stay away from spoilers when going online or on social media BUT if you cannot keep your fan ass off the internet and FB for 3 hours then there is little a network can do for you even in an appology letter.
“We heard your feedback to last night’s post, and we’re sorry. With zero negative intent, we jumped the gun and put up a spoiler. Please know we’re going to work to ensure that, in the future, possible spoilers by official AMC social feeds are killed before they can infect, certainly before the West Coast (U.S.) broadcast of The Walking Dead. As always, thank you for watching, and keep the comments coming. We appreciate all of your support. #RIPSpoiler.”
You should also know by now that it is possible to record shows when they air on the east coast so I am not sure what the deal is with people and their spoilers today. The second it is out in the world, then it’s your grown ass repsonsability not to look at anything else but the show if you are such a fan and if you are too busy doing something ele at that moment then you should not have time to look at Facebook.
The mid-season finale was the series’ highest rated mid-season finale ever with 14.8 million viewers.
