‘Tout va bien’
That was the only thing I wanted our friends and family in Paris to reply on Friday.
Unfortunately the news was not so great for many and it brakes my heart. There isn’t much to say about what actually happened. It is something that happens all over the world.
One of our friends was at the Stade De France watching a soccer game, another friend was getting ready to go out and join a friend Rue de Charonne … because that is what people do in Paris. We enjoy life, we embrace differences, we drink, we eat, we love. And that is what People will keep on doing … even more passionately.
I am happy to see that people are not afraid to keep on living their Parisian life. I have seen so many positive reactions from people who escaped the attacks on the news. Parisians feel even more connected to each other, to the rest of the world and so does the rest of the world. Paris sera toujours Paris.
Those attrocities committed by people fueled with ignorance only makes the majority stronger. They cannot win, they will never win, this is how history has and will be written.
It was very touching to have people asking about our loved ones, even total strangers (due to my very ‘light’ French accent) I was also surprised to have people around us not caring at all … I guess those situations makes it easy to see through people. It’s sad but meaningless at this point.
It has been hard to put my mind on this blog. So I apologize for all the people who sent me submissions lately.
