I just cannot wrap my head around what happened over the weekend in Orlando. I just can’t.
There is a time to process things but there is also a time to take actions – prayers are always good when they come on top of actions – but problems created by humans will not be solved by any gods and the time to take action on the matter is overdue.
Gun Policy in America is, ridiculous, outreagous and a disgrace to all of us.
Yes sure you are free to think what you want, this is what America is all about but when it come to be able to execute people in cold blood … I can tolerate a difference of opinions on many things, but killing, there is no opinions to have on that. You just don’t kill people.
And if you think otherwise, then you’re a fucking asshole who has nothing to do on this site in the first place. Like seriously get the fuck out.
If this country managed to make the entire world, like every single airports around the globe change their regulations concerning liquids and … nail clippers … I think we can change the way people have access to guns (and ammunition) and in particular semi-automatic. Just try to get a pill refill you may need to stay alive without a doctor’s subscription … Yeah, you CAN’T. But you can be mentally sick as fuck and get as many ammunition and guns as you want? WTF America?
Nail clippers people! Do you realize that we cannot travel with any sharp tools like a nail clipper (not to mention 5, that would put you on a no fly list) you cannot do that because it is dangerous! Do you know how many people lost their lives in daily nail clippers’ attacks in this country this year alone? I have stopped counting after … ZERO, like fucking ZERO! But we have to do it for everyone’s safety. So yes there are ways to make people do things I believe.
Why does a girl who wants to get an abortion needs a mandatory 48-hr waiting period, a note from her doctor proving she understands what she’s about to do, a she has to watch a video about abortion. But to get a gun you can even use your apple pay and off you go … My point is not pro-abortion but about regulations to make sure that people are not doing something they may regret later … like having a baby … which as far as I know, you can change your mind and still have a baby when you are ready for it. But when you decide to shoot people it’s kinda hard to change your fucking stupid mind after that (mostly because you’ll likely to be dead too and then karma will take care of your sorry ass, but that is none of my business).
in 2015, over 13,000 people had been killed in the United States in a gun homicide, unintentional shooting, or murder/suicide.
The equivalent of 37 boeing 777 crashing in the US alone in one year! If such a tragedy would have to happen, trust me … there would not be a single plane or mosquito allowed to fly in the nation until we resolve the situation … but for some reasons as humans we have to experience a massive loss to start thiking about a problem and look or ask for a solution. One life is just as important as 49 or 3000. especially when we can change that.
So let’s evolve in the right direction and vote in favor of people who are not discriminating on account of our differences!
Those 49 people who were executed in Orlando are not just a number. They were our companions on this journey we all take together on this tiny little rock suspended in an endless universe.
Let’s not forget why they left us way too soon!
Read those names, look at their faces, look into the eyes of each and everyone of them! Think about the fear and terror that went through them on their last instant of life. Should that be for nothing?
All you will be able to feel is love, pure love for those people you have never met. People who could have been you, a family member, your husband or wife, sister, brother or just a stranger you would have not even notice if they were still alive and walked by you today.
Our basic human nature is compassion. Everything else is a perception that we should not grasp! Everything else does not matter. Endless compassion, that is what we are here for. That is the only lesson we have to learn during this life and the only actions that really matter at the end of our life are the ones we take to help others.
