Today, with my friends Donald and Francis, I went to see the stage play FARRAGUT NORTH at the beautiful Geffen Playhouse in Westwood, next door to the UCLA campus. Starring
Chris Pine and Chris Noth, the play is a dramatic and compelling examination of the cost of putting politics before all else.
Chris Pine, our object of affection after his role as Capt. Kirk in the new STAR TREK film, plays a boy wonder "master of spin" who believes he is in control of his candidate (heading into the Iowa Presidential caucus) and of his own destiny, only to discover that he is not in control of a damned thing.

Chris Pine reveals himself in more ways than one, first and foremost as an actor at the top of his game, and secondly as a hot stud (appearing on stage in his underwear, oh so sexy). Of course taking any photos during the play is strictly forbidden. But for those of you in lack of imagination, Chris Pine in his underwear on stage is something
close to this picture.
Chris Noth is also terrific in his role as Pine's boss. We all remember Noth as Mr. Big in SEX AND THE CITY. Well, he is a big talent. And this play is a must-see. It runs until July 26. Check it out.
