MATT DAMON FOR ESQUIRE

Matt Damon looking good on the October issue of Esquire magazine. He is looking good but what's up with the blurry shot!? Is that a new trends for magazine's covers!? Matt Damon who is actually in venice with his wife Luciana Bozan Barroso for the festival revealed that he had the "funnest time" ever working on "The Informant!" because he could pig out on fatty foods and skip sessions at the gym. He packed on 30 pounds to portray whistleblower Mark Whitacre in the dark comedy.

MATT DAMON IN SOUTH AFRICA

Nico our South African correspondent has some Hollywood news from the African continent :-) Matt Damon is actually in South Africa shooting a film called The Human Factor (set for release on December 2009 in the US).



Matt Damon plays Francois Pienaar (the Springbok rugby captain when South Africa won the Rugby World Cup in 1995). The World Cup was a very emotional affair and did a lot to unite the “New” South Africa (post the first democratic election in 1994). It will always be remembered for Nelson Mandela (played by Morgan Freeman!) wearing the Springbok jersey and endorsing the matches at every opportunity.
