Pier-Gabriel Lajoie is a young actor from Quebec.
This week while catching up with some French tv, I saw him promoting his first movie Gerontophylia by Bruce LaBruce at Le Grand Journal in Paris.
How handsome is this guy? Soooo charming.
I also like that for his first role he really went for it, I mean the subject of gerontophilia is not really something that you would consider mainstream. The word gerontophilia derives from Greek: geron, meaning "old man or woman" and philie, meaning "love".
After watching Pier-Gabriel Lajoie interview along with Bruce LaBruce I really want to see this movie. I just love when people go to to places where our society feels uncomfortable. Taboo on National Geographic is such an amazing series. The obsession we have today with a certain type of physique and codes for love is something that has been in constant change and evolution. I do believe that the we are all connected through collective unconscious so the idea of something acceptable in some cultures but forbidden, illegal or reviled in others is just so fascinating to me.
