We just saw the movie Knowing and here's what you should know before purchasing a ticket.

I thought the idea of the movie was good (at least what I believed the idea was). Are things happening for a reason? Can we or someone or something predict the future? ... And most importantly, can we change it? Because if you believe in the first place that everything happens for a reason than there's nothing you can really do to change things ...
Unfortunately for me the 'movie killer' came from out of space ... don't take me wrong I love aliens (even tho I've never met one personally ... I just feel like I should come up with something nice in case they are reading OhLaLa ;-) but just like in the latest Indiana Jones' I went "AH Aliens! here we go again ..."
I am sure the Aliens (if they happen to illegally download our movies ... damn Aliens) are laughing looking at how we picture them! In this movie they have decided (well the producers) that to hide their translucent jelly body they will go for the tall Sweedish blond look (which is so last season in other galaxies by the way!) and I am also pretty sure they haven't been riding those space ships for over 800.000 years now ... get your space updates right Hollywood!!!!

I don't even mention the ridiculous depiction of biblical Noah's Arc . I know I would not make a great christian or scientologist ;-)
I mean it's nice from Alien's to conceder the humans as a specie to protect, when they are themselves incapable of such a thing ... but more realistically, maybe for observatory reasons that make sense to them.
The great thing about the movie are the special effects. Plane crash, metro collision and the final Solar Flare are just amazing! And once again we come back to the famous year 2012 (Thanx to those Mayans and their end of the world prophecy) According to some scientist the major disaster we are waiting for may be Solar Flare related (even if I believe that if the economy keeps getting worst this may be the 2012 major disaster the Mayans were talking about!) But it is true that Mayans were more concerned about the sun at that time than our capitalist economy.

The largest Solar Flare observed 135 light-years away (whatever that makes) was estimated to have unleashed an energy of 50 million trillion atomic bombs (and I bet that is more than we can all count on our fingers united)
So now that you know, if you crave for pop corn, a plane crash and the end of the world in an obscure theater for 2 hours then you should go and see Knowing!
